Non-collinear electro-optic sampling techniques for efficient detection of THz radiation

Abstract

Non-collinear THz electro-optic (EO) sampling techniques based on Cherenkov phase-matching are presented. The non-collinear phase-matching enables us to use EO crystal with a large EO coefficient but poor phase-matching property when used in collinear scheme.
