Enhancement of Plasmonic Properties of an All-Glass AgPO3/Silica Photonic Bandgap Fibre Using Thermal Poling

Abstract

We report on exposure of composite AgPO3/silica photonic bandgap fibers on external electric field, which leads to poling of the phosphate glass medium and causes significant changes on the guiding properties of the composite fibres.
