Displacement Sensing by Using Optical Fiber with a Polymer Microlens on the Fiber Endface

Abstract

A FFPI structure formed by fabricating a PDMS microlens on a SMF endface was employed in displacement sensing. A very high displacement sensing sensitivity of 2.675 nm/μm can be successfully obtained.
