Enhancing WGM Biosensing with Plasmonics & DNA Nanotechnology

Abstract

Plasmonic nanostructures on Whispering Gallery mode resonator can produce intensity hotspots within the sensing domain hence affording the means to improve detection limit. Combined with DNA Nanotechnology one can achieve unprecedented biosensitivity and -specificity.
