Embedded microfiber in microchip for high sensitivity evanescent field absorbance detection

Abstract

A 1.5-μm-diameter microfiber was embedded in a microchip for high sensitivity evanescent field absorbance detection. The sensitivity of the device was investigated by measuring the absorbance of Methylene Blue, achieving a detection limit of 2.8 μM.
