Transmission Properties of Hollow-Core Photonic Bandgap Fibers

Abstract

Variations in optical transmission of four types of hollow-core photonic bandgap fibers are measured as a function of laser frequency. These variations influence the potential accuracy of gas sensors based on molecular spectroscopy in hollow-core fibers.
