Exact Theory of Adaptive Optics Speckle and its Applications

Abstract

We derive the first order statistical moments of intensity of adaptive-optics-corrected images. We demonstrate that applicability of one or another distribution law depends not only on the level of correction, but also on the observation point in the focal plane.
