All-Fiber Spatial-Mode Converter through Voltage- Controlled Expander

Abstract

We propose a novel all-fiber spatial-mode converter through a three-mode fiber-based voltage-controlled expander, enabling the mode conversion happening within the intra-mode group, i.e. LP11a and LP11b in the experiment with the efficiency of 99.2%.
