FWDM Radio over Fiber for Next-Generation 5G Networks

Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate frequency and wavelength-division multiplexed (FWDM)-radio-over-fiber network using spectral-efficient M-QAM and cost-efficient directly modulated laser for application in the fronthaul of 5G mobile networks.
