Denoising Amplification of Arbitrary Optical Waveforms by Linear Coherent Energy Redistribution

Abstract

We present a linear-optics scheme for noiseless passive amplification of arbitrary waveforms, based on the temporal Talbot effect. We achieve amplification factors as high as 15, allowing for extraction of signals buried under noise.
