Time-Frequency Signal Processing Based on Fractional Fourier Transform for optical communications

Abstract

We demonstrate that time-frequency digital signal processing based on fractional Fourier transform is accurate, efficient and robust to estimate and compensate linear distortions in coherent optical communication including timing offset, frequency offset and chromatic dispersion.
