Adaptive Compensation of Signal Bandwidth Narrowing through Post-ADC Finite Impulse Response Filters

Abstract

In coherent optical receiver, signal bandwidth is estimated from raw ADC outputs. By adaptively adjusting the tap coefficients accordingly, simple post-ADC FIR filters can increase resiliency to signal bandwidth narrowing.
