Concatenated QC-LDPC and SPC Codes for Turbo Decoding in Differentially Encoded System

Abstract

A new class of codes is proposed for differentially encoded coherent systems. Regular Quasi Cyclic Low Density Parity Check codes (QC-LDPC) concatenated with two-dimensional single parity check (SPC) codes improved performance by 0.4 dB without complexity increase.
