Abstract

The novel OFDM channel estimation method, based on LMMSE with linear interpolation, is used to compensate for chromatic dispersion and polarization-mode dispersion (PMD) separately. Together with low-density parity-check (LDPC) coded multi-band OFDM, we can achieve beyond 1Tb/s serial transmission over 2300km of SSMF without any countable error.
