Quasi-Cyclic LDPC based on PEG Construction for Optical Communications

Abstract

A new construction of quasi-cyclic LDPC codes based on the progressive edge-growth algorithm is presented. These codes perform better than most LDPC codes proposed for optical transmissions and design parameters can be chosen without constraint.
