All-Optical Signal Processing using Optical Nonlinearities

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Optical nonlinearities can be used to transparently manipulate a high-speed optical data signal in amplitude, phase and wavelength. This paper will discuss various signal processing applications such as: constellation manipulation, traffic grooming and channel equalization.
