Abstract

We propose a dual-polarization grouped maximum-likelihood (DP-GML) algorithm to compensate for the dispersion-enhanced phase noise (DEPN) of reduced-guard-interval (RGI) CO-OFDM. The laser linewidth tolerance is increased to 2 MHz after a 4800 km transmission.
