Efficient silica-based fiber laser source at > 2.1 μm

Abstract

Efficient generation of watt-level laser source at wavelength between 2.1 and 2.5 μm is analyzed and experimentally demonstrated with cascaded Raman scattering process in highly Ge-doped silica fibers.
