Modes with Angular Momentum in Optical Fibers and their Applications

Abstract

Light carries spin (polarization) as well as orbital angular momentum (OAM). We review recent work on stable propagation of complex angular momentum modes in fibers, which has spawned applications ranging from telecommunications to biomedical imaging.
