Photo-thermal Sensors with Microstructured Optical Fibres

Open Access Open Access

Gas detection with photothermal interferometry with hollow-core fibres is demonstrated with CW and pulsed laser excitations. A theoretical model is developed to study the dynamics of photothermal phase modulation, which is supported by experimental results.
