Novel Super-Lattice Polarization-Maintaining Photonic Crystal Fibre for Pressure Sensing

Abstract

A novel super-lattice polarization-maintaining photonic crystal fiber designed for the realization of a highly sensitive fiber-optic pressure sensor using the Sagnac loop interferometer configuration was fabricated. The fiber has a birefringence of 8.5×10−4.
