Poled-Fiber Source of Polarization-Entangled Photon Pairs

Abstract

We demonstrate broadband telecom-wavelength polarization-entangled photon pair generation in a periodically-poled silica fiber (PPSF). Two-photon interference visibility exceeds 90%, and Bell’s inequality is violated by 8 standard deviations.
