Abstract

High-purity TeO2-(WO3, La2O3, ZnO, Na2O, Bi2O3) optically homogeneous glasses with OH-groups absorption of 0.001 – 0.012 cm−1 (~3 μm) and optical losses of 50-100 dB/km (1.56 μm) were prepared. High quality optical fibers were made from them.
