Abstract

We survey pulse reshaping by propagation through narrow spectral transmission features in optically dense, inhomogeneously broadened persistent spectral hole burning medium. Trade-off between maximum pulse delay and pulse shape distortion is analyzed. Results are comared to delays based on spectral gratings and time-space holograms.
