Novel optical waveguide devices and their application to optical communication

Abstract

Now that DWDM systems have been widely deployed, higher data rate transmission and new modulation formats are attracting interest as regards realizing greater transmission capacity. This talk reviews recent progress on waveguide devices for use in such communication systems.
