Quantification of signal distortion in Brillouin scattering based slow light systems

Abstract

Measured small-signal gain and delay spectra were used to quantify pulse distortions in Brillouin scattering based fiber slow light systems. Exact determination of the delay and the role played by pump modulation are highlighted.
