Improving SPDC Single-Photon Sources Via Spectral Filtering And Feed-Forward Control

Abstract

Parametric downconversion sources often trade generation rate for increased purity. We present a feed-forward scheme that mitigates the adverse effects of filtering on photon generation rates while simultaneously removing uncorrelated noise from the source output.
