Quantum Calligraphy: Writing Single-Photon Emitters in a Two-Dimensional Materials Platform

Abstract

We present an AFM-based method for direct writing of single-photon emitters in WSe2 monolayers on deformable polymer substrates. High quality emitters are observed with emission rates of 105 photons/second and single emission behavior up to 60 K.
