Optically probing the detection mechanism in an amorphous MoSi SNSPD

Abstract

We investigate the detection mechanism in a MoSi SNSPD by exciting it with light from 750 to 2050 nm. We find a nonlinear energy-current relation and indications of both Fano fluctuations and position-dependent effects.
