Quantum feedback control of mechanical squeezing

Abstract

A simple feedback protocol able to generate steady-state squeezing of a mechanical oscillator is presented. The protocol is based on frequent repeated measurements and reinitialisation of a two-level system interacting with the mechanical oscillator itself.
