Optical spin squeezing: bright beams as high-flux entangled photon sources

Abstract

Polarization squeezing implies multipartite pairwise entanglement, in analogy with spin squeezing. Our experiment demonstrates polarization entanglement in a squeezed state and is an ultra-bright narrowband source of entangled photon pairs, suitable for interaction with atoms.
