Abstract

We experimentally study the local density of optical states (LDOS) of a plasmonic meta-molecule exhibiting plasmon induced transparency (PIT) by near field driving. We discuss the observed LDOS features in terms of the system’s uncoupled eigenmodes and identify the potential of sub-radiant modes to create narrow bright features for spontaneous emission control in the context of optical antennas.
