Bright single photon emission from a quantum dot in a circular dielectric grating

Abstract

We demonstrate a single photon source based on a single quantum dot in a circular grating microcavity and measure a collection efficiency of 10%. Tradeoffs between suppressed multi-photon probability and Purcell enhancement are investigated.
