Chirp Controls Nonlinear Response of Excitons in Semiconductor Quantum Wells

Abstract

We characterize chirped excitation on excitonic resonances in GaAs quantum wells using spectrally resolved transient absorption. Positive chirp enhances nonlinearities, despite the increased pulse duration compared with transform-limited excitation.
