Experimental Observation of the Trapped Rainbow

Abstract

We report on the experimental demonstration of the broadband “trapped rainbow” in the visible range using an adiabatically tapered waveguide. Being a distinct case of the slow light phenomenon, this effect can enhanced light-matter interactions.
