Quantum optics with semiconductor quantum dots in microcavities

Abstract

For quantum-dot-based microcavity lasers with large spontaneous emission coupling we compare results of a microscopic theory with recent experiments. Coherence properties and photon correlations are discussed and the single-emitter limited is studied.
