Generation of Time-Bin Entangled Photon Pairs Using Cascaded Second Order Nonlinearity in Single Periodically-Poled Lithium Niobate Waveguide

Abstract

We report a simple scheme to generate time-bin entangled photon pairs based on cascaded second-order nonlinear processes in a single periodically-poled lithium niobate waveguide. We successfully observed two-photon interference fringes up to 97% visibilities.
