Slow light without electromagnetically-induced transparency: the double-Fano resonance approach

Abstract

A new approach to slowing light in plasmonic structures is proposed. We utilize the phenomenon of double-Fano resonance. Specific implementations of such structures based on plasmonic antennas are presented, various applications are outlined.
