Resonance Effects Governing Modulation Instability of Incoherent Light

Abstract

We demonstrate, theoretically and experimentally, resonance effects associated with modulation instability of incoherent light. The resonance is exemplified in a sharp transition of the spatial-frequency of maximum-gain, and in the absence of threshold.
