Quasi-Periodicity Probes the Origin of Transmission Resonances in Nanoapertures

Abstract

We report on experimental and theoretical studies of enhanced transmission through 1D and 2D nanoapertures. We show that this transmission possesses vertical resonances and is therefore independent of the spatial aperture arrangement.
