Tight Focusing of Light in Aberration-Compensated Photonic Crystal Negative Refractive Lens

Abstract

We propose a composite photonic crystal for compensating an aberration in negative refractive lens. We experimentally observed that the focused spot size was clearly narrowed, compared with the case of single photonic crystal.
