Generation of beams with spiral phase shift using a divided half waveplate in a laser cavity

Abstract

Beams with spiral phase shift are generated using a duodecimally divided half waveplate in a Ti:sapphire laser cavity. Either Laguerre-Gaussian or radially polarized laser beam with orbital angular momentum is obtained from the cavity.
