Designing Randomness – the Impact of Textured Surfaces on the Efficiency of Thin-Film Solar Cells

Abstract

We analyze experimentally and theoretically light localization at randomly textured ZnO surfaces and light absorption in thin-film amorphous Si deposited conformal on it. Guidance is provided to tailor such surfaces for optimizing the absorption.
