Laser Emission from Quantum Dots in high-Q Micropillar Cavities

Abstract

We report on laser emission from a low number of InGaAs quantum dots embedded in high-Q micropillar laser structures. Resonance tuning of single quantum dots allows the observation of pronounced single dot lasing effects.
