Three-dimensional Characterisation of the Non-Gaussian Focused Beam from a Terahertz Quantum Cascade Laser

Abstract

A fast, accurate technique for the three-dimensional characterisation of terahertz beams is presented. Using gold-on-glass resolution targets the beam profile, depth of focus and astigmatism of a quantum cascade laser-based imaging system have been measured.
