Ultra-long Range Surface Plasmon Structures for Plasmonic Devices

Abstract

Our computations show that adding a thin, low-index dielectric adjacent to a thin metal layer dramatically increases the surface plasmon propagation length. This geometry allows the integration of plasmonic waveguides with metal-oxide- semiconductor (MOS) structures.
