Quasi-Phase-Matching of Intensity-Waves

Abstract

Nonlinear interactions of intensity-waves depend upon a phase-matching condition analogous to field-waves, fulfilled by a unique quasi-phase-matching grating for the intensity-wave's modulation frequency. This is verified with stimulated Brillouin scattering in a periodically nonlinear fiber.
