Two-color lasing and four-wave mixing in discrete mode Fabry-Pérot laser diodes

Abstract

A two-color Fabry-Pérot laser is designed with a distribution of slots in the ridge waveguide, fabricated and characterised. The two-color lasing produces a strong four wave mixing signal, and is promising for direct THz emission.
