Abstract

Femtosecond time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy has been used to measure the electron-phonon coupling constant of free size selected $N a_{n}^{+}$ (n=16-250) clusters. The extrapolated electron-phonon coupling constant of bulk sodium is g_B ≃ 2.3 × 10¹⁶ W/m³K.
