Lévy Statistics Describe the Photo-Bleaching in Well-Defined Ensembles of Green Fluorescent Proteins

Abstract

The aging of well-defined ensembles of fluorescent proteins displays clear signatures of Lévy statistics. A rate-equation model postulating thermally activated barriers allows us to retrieve physical information about the barrier distribution.
